I really like Thomas Jefferson.... Someone asked me one time; if I could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, who would I choose?? I chose Thomas Jefferson.
I would really like to know what they meant when they set up the foundations of this nation and what would they think when the would see it today.
My thoughts would be that they would probably be to see how the constitution has been interpreted. I really do not think that when they decided for freedom of speech me porno movies.
The most common answer when asked the above question was "Jesus."

The recent supreme court decisions go directly to this entry. One found that individual citizens are constitutionaly protected to have firearms. The other ruling involved whether the death penalty for children rapist is cruel and unusual (yes). One ruling went for less central government (firearms), and one went to more central government (over ruling the states decision of punishment). It would be very interesting to get one of the founders perspectives :o)
(cough) Try telling that to the lobbyists or anyone who doesn't like the work entailed in personal responsibility. I'd prefer a Libertarian style of govt, but I am not getting it, this I know.
I'd like to have Sunday dinner with my parents.
No one more important or more interesting to me.
