Friday

Bummer, last nights call was the pits.    Worked 22 out of 24 hours.     I think I am gettting to old to be doing this, but the people who are younger than I were tired too.

Came home and slept from 7 to 12.   I feel much better now.  Good enough to check my mail and write in the journal.   The only problem with this journal is unlike journals of 100 years ago  that you can find, it is unlikely that it will still be around then for my descendants to see.  And say "what was she thinking."

Wednesday

What a beautiful wedding.   It was simple, casual yet the bride was elegant.    The weather was hot but not too humid.   I am glad that water was provided.   And the alcohol wasn't served until the food started.    The food was a barbque and  cake and ice cream for dessert.    Here in western PA  they are trays and trays of elaborate cookies.   I will have to ask my friend, but there weren't any cookies.   Maybe it is just a western PA thing?????

The worst part of the trip was the drive.   It is much better to do the trek in two days.   My butt was getting tired and arms were getting tired too.

The weather has taken a turn for the coolest.  I turned off the AC and opened the windows.   Maybe it will be like that for a few days.   I find HHH unbearable.

Thursday

Tomorrow will be a trek.   We will leave early and get on the road.   I want to leave at 5:30 am.   I have to get thru the PGH rush hour traffic and that doesn't let up till 10 am.   The problem is going to be my daughter.   She keeps the hours of a vampire bat.   She doesn't go to bed before three and then will be miserable when she wakes up.   I may have to throw a bucket of water on her.........

The trip to TN is long  but not a bad drive.   It is all interstate, except or a stretch in WVA.  It will take about 10 hours.  Tomorrow we will go to the rehersal dinner.   The wedding is Saturday at 6.   Just how hot will it be?????  Guess I should check the weather channel..

Se finished her second class and next week is the final one.  I really hope and pray that she was correct with that being the only ones she needed..............With the time she has spent she could have had a masters degree by now...........

Sunday

I have been so busy but I feel like a hamster on a wheel.   I couldn't turn off my computer so I called HP tech support and talked to Joseph in Calcutta or there abouts.   Actually he had me turn off the computer, D/C the electric plus  and take out the battery and hold down the off button for 3 minutes.   I am glad he had the timer.    This sounded a little weird to me.   But it really worked.  I asked what we did and he said that the laptops build up static electricity and we drained it off.   Sounds hokey but it turns off now.

This reminds me of the time I took the old dog to the vet.  He has various ailments. With his joints and probably his doggie prostate.  He had frequency issues.    The one vet was a practoner of "holistic"  medicine for dogs.   I asked her if I could see what she did.   (THIS IS A GREAT ONE......)  She took him into the office and swung a crystal on a chain over the dog and observed its movement.   She did this a few times and then came to some conclusion (HOW DID SHE DO THAT)    Then she got out many little bottles with miniscule beads of medication, and doled out a few particles of this and that.  (SOUNDS LIKE MUMBO JUMBO I KNOW).   I had to put this concoction in his food.   I don't know how or why, but the dog got better after about a week.   He was much improved..........   What happened I never could figure it out but I still remember the procedure and skeptacism about it 15 years ago.

The daughter and I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night.   I really LOVED this movie.   Johny Depps character was quirky and a bit sinister.   I would reccomend it.  Then today we went and say Tommy, the rock opera.  It has been a very busy weeknd.

Wednesday

It is a bit unusual to report, but, in this past week nothing much realy went on............I was off and did nothing........When did my life become so mundane.???  Or maybe the uneventful is not so bad.     With all the things that could happen who knows.

Wednesday

Off for the rest of the week.   Don't have much planned.   Maybe to go to the store and return a remote and such.  Today is a picture perfect day......

Daughter has one class finished and two to go.   I still would like to know what she was thinking.  Maybe she will tell me on my deathbed........

The realtor asked me if I wanted to lower the price on 2327.   Why just not put out a sign and say FREE?????  What irks me the most is I just read an article  and it stated that a mobile home ( trailer) in California just sold for $1.2 million.  That is unbelievable.   It did not include the land... That is really unbelievable........Most of the nuts in the country are out there......

Saturday

Here I am again at work.   Found out how to get here.  I tried last time and I was stuck in an electronic limbo.   So far, so good is all I can say about the day.

The weather is picture perfect and I am stuck at the hospital........Tomorrow will be another hot one.
