Sunday

"To me, old age is always 15 years older than I am."
Bernard Baruch

Actually I think it is more like 20.   I haven't written in here for awhile.    I think I have cabin fever or some sort  of restlessness.   I am ready for the leaves to come out and the weather to warm up.     The landscape is so bleak,  in shades of gray and white.

Work  is a bumer.  There were three pages of the schedule on Friday.   Fridays used to be our slowest day and now is it among the busiest.   Actually they all are busy.   I really am tired of working.   I am planning on decreasing my days down to two a week.  It is a real shame that a person has to work to obtain health insurance.   The government workers get it and I am not only working to pay for theirs but to also pay for mine.   The government workers aren't paying for theirs or mine.   Doesn't seem quite right.

The dtr. was to have symphony rehersal and it was/is freezing rain.   Our elevation here in Pgh is about 1200 feet.   In Johnstown it is about 2800 feet.   So it is about 10 degrees colder there and while it is raining here, it is freezing rain there.   Not work risking ones life over.

Friday

"Whining is not only graceless, but can be dangerous. It can alert a brute that a victim is in the neighborhood."
Maya Angelou

I love you Maya.   That is the truth.

"Idealism increases in direct proportion to one's distance from the problem."
John Galsworthy

I guess these are the people who give others lots of advice.   Like childless people tell parents how to raise their kids.

"You are what you think about all day long."
Robert H. Schuller

I think about how nice it will be to NOT work.

Saturday

It is freezing arse cold.   After two years of not so cold stretches the next few days will be COLD.   I even dug out my parka.   And there is the subject of global warming.   They said that it is projected that PA will have the climate like NC.   Personally I don't see that as a bad thing.   We are about the elevation of 1500 feet and no worries about our shoreline here.   I must make a note to myself not to buy beachfron property.
