I can't believe it

I can believe it..............Someone (AOL) has ads on my journal.     I think I will have to start one one at:

http://www.livejournal.com    They do not have ads here and it is essential free.    The next complaint is to go directly to AOL.

Conspiracy!!!!!!

I think there is a plan to drive me and my coworkers nuts.  Yesterday I  was like a hamster on a wheel.   I can not be in charge and do the breaks and lunches too.    It will only get worse.....We were down three people before the proverbial feces hit the fan.   Now with essentially three more leaving.   It seems that all the doctors are making contingency plans.   Are the nurses being held out to sink or swim.   

I really don't want the extra hours.  I do not need to increase my hours.   I do not need the money.   I will really need to be taking anti anxiety drugs if this continues.

Another person is bugging me to trade her calls.   I REALLY don't want to do it.   It is not my problem is child care is her issue.   I DO NOT want to give up my long weekends.   She started with the requests before the schedule is even out..........Our department is not one where you can pick and choose what you want.   I would do anything to help people out but this is going to be on a constant and unending basis............I wonder if others are having this problem.   Maybe, somehow, I could delicately ask the others....

 

Sunday

The problem is, I am currently unable to access my computer.   Emily is at my desk working on her old laptop which is tethered to the router with an ethernet cable.    My brother in law is checking her computer.   He thinks it may be a hardware issue.     What does a new hard drive cost?????   Guess I have to look that one up.   What would an wireless card cost???

I wanted to start placing quotes (like yesterday) in my journal but my quotes are saved on my laptop.    Guess I just have to wait till I get back my spot.   My computer is currently "off the hook" since sit doesn't work in her room.   I wonder if she thinks I did that on purpose.  It  is a good idea but I would have no idea how to do something so sneaky......  It is a good thought though.

On call tomorrow........I am really tired of taking call.......

In my life it one crisis followed by another.   Nothing earth shattering but enough to irk me for days on end........

Crisis of the day:  Emilys  computer is not working.   It is really into the bowels of the thing.   Things with BIOS and APIC (whatever that is)  She says it won't load,  the computer will givethe instructions and then won't let her do what it says.  I am going to take it to my brother in law.  He just set up computer systems in China so hopefully he can fix this.    I will get them a dinner out gift certificate out if the metamorphis is complete.   I am going to call the computer HAL.

Emily is tired getting up early every day.   That is a real joke.   I wanted to tell him she only had 40 years to go but I restrained myself since she was in a snit because of the computer.  Too bad she wasn't born Paris Hilton................

 

Day before Thanksgiving

Here it is another year almost past.   Where does the time go??   I would have liked to have off yesterday and today but that did not happen.   I will be at the hospital in a 24 hour imprisonment.    It is suppose to snow tonight so I can expect revelers, who were drunken, falling and breaking bones.

My brother is having dinner and I won't be there.   I do like  Thanksgiving.   The bright spot is I will be two meals for free at work.   But, to be on the safe side,  I will also take something to eat.  Maybe this will be my last Thanksgiving to work.

There is a lot of trouble with the hospital system, reimbursement and it is all boiling to a head.   Maybe I will spend the last few years of my life doing locum tenens.   I suppose there are a lot of small hospitals in PA that need someone to give their anesthesia.

I know a lot of people who would like to do that.  My father was one of them.   He had all kinds of solutions.   Most of which, were really OFF THE WALL.    My daughter is another.  She has stated that things would be soooooo much better if she were in charge.   WHAT A LAUGH. 

Maybe she should start by cleaning her room and get rid of things she buys and never uses.  The silver Subaru, which has met its untimely demise, was a rolling version of her room.    She used the statement that she doesn't want people to "touch her stuff"  My feeling is that she is hiding something that she doesn't want her parents to see..................

 

 

 

Saturday

I guess you are up and running.   I could not figure out why I could not save my writings.   I finally contacted Live AOL help and they told me that the site was being revised.   I can see that a spell checker was added, but it would have been nice to say that the site was under construction.

Chuck got his Previously Owned Subaru today.   Everything well so smoothly it was unbelievable.   It was in direct opposition to Murphys Law.   I will have to mark this day on my calendar.   All the flights were on time and arrived on time.  A guy picked him up at the airport and the Subaru dealer had everything ready for the  signing.  All he had to do was give them the check.   I haven't had one of these days in a long time.  And the weather was good, but that didn't really matter.  It was a Subaru................

Now the only thing to do is get the check and get my car back from the body shop.    Supposedly when the got ready to put on the exhaust system, they found some hangers and a bar that was bent.   I HOPE it will be done by Moday.   It is good to have a rental but I MISS MY CAR.
