Sunday

My last day off..............Spent yesterday down at 2327.   Didn't get a whole lot done because there is not a whole lot left to do.   I cleaned the bathtub in preparation to have he final vinyl trim and the caulking applied.  One of the guys will do this.  I really wanted to go and get this done today.   But my daughter was wanting to go to a movie.   She is still sitting in the house and I need a crowbar to get her out.   I hope she is not developing agoraphobia

Last evening we wanted to go out to get something to eat.   I had hoped she would want to go with us but she said that after working she just wanted to sit down on her butt.     Welcome to the real world kid...........She is starting to sound like her parents.  But after all that we got in the car and we decided not to go ourselves.   We had realy been hoping that she she would come along.    We are going to see the film that won best foreign film at the Academy Awards.   I forgot its name........I hope it is more memorable than the title I forgot.

Back to work tomorrow.   It is the first busy day in weeks.   I am  in charge and oncall.   With no help to do breaks and lunches.    One of the surgeons, who had a history of obnoxious behavior and acting badly, was suspended for a month.  I dont know if the other surgeons are angry about that, fearing that it could happen to them too or what???   You would really have to be bad to be as evil as the first guy.    In actuality I really think he is psychotic.  This had gone on for years and all he had gotten  was a slap on the hands.  He was of the impression that they wouldn't do anything to him because he was a MD.  He was right for 20 or so years. 

Or maybe they are angry because the hospital is being taken over by one of the "mother ship" hospitals.   This move means that the medical staffs are going to merge and the docs are unhappy about that.    And also the hospitals want to own the practices and there will no longer be any private practices.  To me thisis crazy because who is going to work as hard if the hospital will be the one making the money and you are getting a salary.   There is no incentive in move, but I guess it is the wave of the future....Who knows.........

Wednesday

Another fling with the type.  Worked two 10 hour days and off today.   I would be happy to work two days a week.   I think that women do not have their identify tied into a job.   A lot of men equate their job with their being.  I think that is why they get bored after retirement and have difficulty functioning.    Also a lot of people don' have any hobbies or outside interest.   I can actually never remember being bored on my days off.

Taking the digital photography class.  So far I have learned about binary codes and pixels.   I am waiting for the class on organization and putting things and music on a cd for storage...........

Back to work tomorrow.   I am in charge, what an honor......................

Here is another shot at fonts.  The last was too small.   I feel like Goldilocks.  This is veranda.   New times Roman.    Do the people who think up these printing styles really realize that is the whole scheme of things it doesnt really matter. 

A lot of work on the house today.   I feel like soon I will know where everything is at Lowes.   Chuck started putting the bath back together.   I will be glad when it is done.

Snow storm expected in the early morning.  Emily is in Cleveland.  I sent her a message this morning that the snow was to begin in the wee hours.   I hoped she had the good sense to leave this aftrnoon.   High IQ doesnt equate to common sense.

 

Monday

What are these fonts??? This one is actually kind of nice.   Went to 2327 again, today.  Everyone was there.  We got a lot of painting done.   All that is left to do is some trim and the doors on a closet.    Now, all that is left is cleaning up and doing odds and ends. 

My brother Tom is moved.  I cancelled his cable and have to move his phone.  After I find out from my VA brother if he wants the dining room set or not, I can get rid of the furniture.   I will donate it to a thrift store, if the antique guy doesnt want it. 

After it is all done I think we should go out and have dinner.

Finally, getting started cleaning the house.   It was even begining to get to me.  I really have been so busy with 2327 I don't seem to have time to do the day to day work.   And this morning it dawned on that I fotgot to make the coffee for the morning.   Chuck likes to take a cup of hot fresh coffee.   It just skipped my mind.

Doing a little work on my photo files.   I would like to figure out what is the best method for getting a photo backup.   Should you put it on a stick or just burn them to a cd?????   The cd would be the cheapest.

My brother is suppose to move today.   I had to clean.   I will call later and see how it went.   Told him he should use the washer and dryer at 2327 until we sell that house.  It is a pain when you dont have access to a laundry facilities.    Can you believe he was 54 and didnt know how to wash clothes.

Shawnna inserviced him on that.  PDQ when my father was in the hospital.  All that needs to be done now is putting the sink, toilet and new light back up.  Havew to go to Lowes tomorrow..............

Still trying out how to move pictures.   The click and drag method doesnt seem to work.   Started my photography class and found out how much I dont know.  Somehow some of things seem to have a mind of their own.   I click cancel and it still goes on and on.

Wednesday

Did a lot of working this week.  It was one of my 5 day, no days off week.  I was meant to be an heiress but, somehow it didnt happen. 

I am going to take a digital photography class this semester.   It is at the CCAC but it is in the North Campus, which is about an hour from here.   The only good thing is that it is on a Friday night and I will get homeabout 10:30.   If I had to get up and go to work the next I dont think I would make it.  I hope this class is good.   I still am wanting to scan and put the family photos and slides on CDs. 

We bought a treadmill, Chuck said he thinks the only exercise we will get from it will be hauling it upstairs.   That remains to be seen.   Lucy the cat is being bitchy.   She is hissing at poor Jen, who all she wants is a cat friend.  I may have to get Lucy come kitty valium.  Or squirt her with the gun.   Squirt gun, that is............I got Lucy when she was 14 weeks old, and I think she was weird then.   She must have had a traumatic kittenhood.  What would one expect, the name they gave her was "Fishface"   They probably kicked the poor cat when she was a aby..........People murder their kids, so who would be surprised at cat abuse.........
