Saw Hotel Rawnda,  the performance was excellent.  Of all the men nominated for best actor I think he deserves the award.      Emily wasn't hungry so we will go out later and eat.

Sunday

Getting ready to go out.....My daughter and I are going to the movies.  We are going to see Hotel Rowanda.   She likes to see films that are nominated for academy awards.    Then we will go to the Medeterranian Cafe, which is just up the block, or so I am told.

The past week we have been getting 232 in order for sale.   I would like to know who is buying all the houses that aare going for 250k to200K.  They are as common as stones.   With taxes and insurance I wonder what the monthly payment would be?????and who is buying them???

We have gotten down to making a list of things we haave yet to do.   I really got everyone working.   Chuck wonders how I did that.    I wonder too.  Back to work tomorrow and it is a very light day.   I wish I knew what was going one there..   The surgeons are just not scheduling the cases or is it a fluke???

 

 

 

Wednesday

It is really hard for me to type in the dark.   I am at my desk surrounded by cats.   Jeanne went to the vet for a paw check.   It seems that her doctor puts glue on her incision.   She has been sitting down holding her paw in the air and her doctor found two old glue pellets.  It would have the equivilent of walking with a pebble in your shoe.   Hope she gets better soon.

Emily and I went to see Million Dollar Baby.  The end is controversial,  we talked about it but I dont want to post the ending incase some on wants to see it.   It is a good movie, I would recommend it.   Going to take my shower .......bye for now.

Monday

Tomorrow is my last day off.  And all I did was go to work on 2327.   I will be glad when every thing is done and gone.    Just to sell the house and truck.  My brother can move in his apt on Feb.15.   I will be glad when it is done.

I would have liked a week to relax and do nothing but it was not in the cards.  Emily is on DSL now and that frees up the phone line.   We got a wireless router and I have the capbility of going wireless too.   Don't know if  it is worth it thought.

Not much else going on today.  We have two more bedrooms to paint and a lot of cleaning up.   And the bathroom needs to be put in too.

Saturday

Today and tomorrow I am taking off from the business of preparing the 2327 house for sale.    I think I will take off tomorrow too.   I spent more time and energy this week.   Actually all the siblings did.   Everyone really worked hard doing this.   I think it was the eamil where I said we could sell it as is and get less money or fix it up to be presentable and get more.    Money is a great motivator......

I have figures out how to send photos by email.   I am trying to conjure them up for moving on here.   I still haven't figured out how to make the pictures big.    I have been trying but still havnt got the hang of it.

This drives me crazy.    When I hit the picture icon on the email up comes a format button.   I would like to duplicate that format with this journal but can't figure it out to save the day...............

 

Friday

My week off is over and I worked harder at 2327 than I did at work.  Today was very busy.   Shawnna painted the trim and railings.   I opted to clean my brother Toms room.   Honestly, there was dirt in that room from the time of the creation.................I dont think that the room has been cleaned since before my mother died.  That was in1995.    There were dust bunnies and cobwebs a half an inch thick.   We have to paint three bedrooms and the guy have to put in the shower stall and install the sink.   First we have to get some textured paint and pain the BR and then onto the installations.

I am taking Saturday and Sunday off.   And back at it on Monday  and Tuesday.  I will buy the paint and maybe we can get most of it done.  I hope this house sells quckly.    I hope to have it listed at the end of February.

Emily had off today and we went to see a movie.  Hide and Seek.  I should have seen th ending coming.   We are going to go and see all the films nominated for best pictures in the Academy Awards.   I have only seen one so far,  Garden State....   That was interesting...I liked it....

 

Thursday

It has been over a week since I have last written.  My brother came up from VA and we have all been working on 2327.   I guess what spurred them all into action was the email about selling it as is or fixing it up for sale and getting more money.  

The BR as is was not usable.   That is gutted and new green board (or is it blue) is being installed and a new tub surround and the whole thing in general.   I have taken jictures and will take some more when we are done.

The walls in the kitchen were dark  brown brick and they are now painted a pale gold.   They look much better.  It is so bright that a person could do surgery in there.   We replaced the light on the ceiling.   My sisters and I also painted the front room and will paint all the rooms in the house.  It is a lot of work and everyone has been pitching in nicely.  

Also found water under the floor in the  basement room.  It seems that the heavy water on Sept 17 probably came in there and then the gutter wasnt conncected and the rain and water was coming down the cellar wall.   We have to take up the entire floor and will paint it.

Tomorrow we put in another day.....who knows what  to do tomorrow.   I know for sure that the back door and trim needs a second coat.  And I have taped the baseboard in the front room.   They will all be a brilliant white.

Chuck scraped the dried adhesive off the ceiling and walls in the BR and instead of puting all wallboard we will just paint it.
